Here is THE packing checklist that will ensure nothing is over-looked as you leave for your vacation holiday.
If you are leaving the house vacant from today, use the packing checklist I use. I know it will help you.
Place those portable appliances that heat up, eg an iron, within
eye sight as the last item you see when later you leave
and lock the door. A quick look as you leave and you will never be left
wondering if an appliance is on when you are sitting in that plane,
bus or car.
Gather all the items required in your hand luggage together:
- money for incidentals on way and at the airport/train/bus
- Some foreign currency for a stop-over, eg Singapore Dollars
- Have Credit cards available
- Place essential Travel documents in easily accessible hand luggage
- Place all reading (books) and listening materials (MP3 player)
in your carry-on luggage
Finalise your lift to Airport/bus/ train terminal
Check in a logical order the locks on all floors: windows, doors
Check that any valuables are secured.
Place all your luggage in one place - maybe near the door
As You Leave
Turn on all security systems
At the Airport / Bus / Train Terminal
Have essential documents available: tickets, ID, passport
Have your hand luggage available as previously organised
Have your luggage to be checked labelled and locked
