Waitomo Bed And Breakfast
Waitomo / King Country
Using a Worlds Best Waitomo bed and breakfast as our base we recently explored some of the most exceptional scenery in New Zealand. The Waitomo/King Country region of New Zealand’s North Island is exquisite, extraordinary and diverse. Above ground there is horse riding into remote areas, forest parks with well sign posted tracks for walking or tramping and bird watching. But we went underground. Here there is black water rafting through caves with the rush of water and a thrill a minute. Then there is the more leisurely exploring of the amazing glow worm, which even captivated David Attenborough who filmed at Spellbound. We loved the adaptive glow worms with their long silk threads to catch food in the cave ‘winds’. As a base to explore the wonderful Waitomo region, we stayed at Waitomo Caves Guest Lodge, a WorldsBest B&B near Otorohanga. Our stay was a pleasure beyond words with Janet & Colin passionate about their Guests and our stay. Enjoy the Waitomo Caves region - The King Country.
